Rules

occupier.lol is a public 100×100 billboard. There are no ads, no logins, and no revenue share. You pay for cells, stamp a website on them, and stand there until someone pays more. Nothing else decides who shows.

How the board works

  • The launch sale is $1 for any empty lot — one cell or thousands. That price holds until 80% of the board is claimed (8,000 cells). Taking only claimed cells during launch uses the same 1.5× listed prices as after launch. A mix of empty and claimed is $1 plus those listed prices. After launch, empty cells start at $0.05 and jump 1.5× each time they are bought.
  • Checkout is at least $0.50 after launch — ten cells at the start price, or fewer if the lot already costs more. During launch an empty selection is $1, even if that is one cell. A claimed-only takeover during launch is the listed prices, with the same $0.50 floor. Mix empty and claimed and you pay $1 plus the listed prices of the claimed cells. Pay the listed minimum or any higher amount. Extra is split across the cells you are buying and becomes the base for the next 1.5× price.
  • Add value to a lot that is already listed: click it, type at least $0.50, and pay. That extra splits equally across every cell in the connected lot and raises the next takeover price. The listing stays. Checkout skips the title and photo form.
  • A completed payment is what stamps the cells. Taking a lot does not refund the previous owner.

How ranking works

  • The grid is the ad. The sidebar is a leaderboard of who is paying. Total paid ranks what you have spent, including cells you later lost. Current value ranks the takeover price of lots you still hold.
  • Today’s board counts the last 24 hours. Each payment counts for a day from when you paid, then drops off that window. The same payment still adds to your all-time total.
  • Enter the same website again to buy more cells or to add value. Title, photo, and description stay locked from your first purchase — only the price can change.
  • App Store, Play Store, GitHub, and similar platform links are keyed by their path, so different apps don’t share a bid. Tracking query strings are ignored.

Categories

  • Every listing is placed in a category automatically from the website, title, and description. You do not pick one at checkout.
  • Each category has its own ranking, with the same Total paid and Current value boards as the main list. Misc is the leftover bucket.
  • If you want a listing moved, email us. A contact email will be posted on this page when one is ready. That inbox is the one address for category moves, legal, privacy, listings, and everything else. Until then, the automatic category stays.

How a lot works

  • A selection has to stay one piece — cells sharing an edge, not just a corner. Add only keeps cells that attach to the current lot. If Subtract splits it, the largest piece stays.
  • A connected owned lot restretches your original image. A diagonal touch or a new island gets a copy.
  • Hover a lot to see the owner, the link, and the listed price to take the whole connected lot. That price is the sum of every cell. A cheap launch grab on thousands of cells is still thousands of $0.05 listings.

What you can list

  • A product website. No password. The URL is how we recognize you next time.
  • Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, and similar. The board is for products and profiles, not group chats.
  • Links to sexual content are not allowed. If it is porn, NSFW, or an adult platform, it does not belong on the board.
  • Tracking query strings are ignored. Affiliate and referral URLs will not carry those params onto the board.
  • Link shortener URLs are not allowed. If you submit one, it is replaced by the URL it redirects to.

Holds

  • Starting checkout holds those cells for 3 minutes. Closing the form before you reach payment unlocks them, and you can try again immediately.
  • Cancel on the payment page unlocks the cells for everyone else, but you cannot lock that same lot again for 3 minutes.
  • Let a hold expire three times and you wait 5 minutes before any new hold. A browser tab can hold at most two checkouts at once.
  • Camping holds to freeze lots you are not going to buy is abuse. Get caught and we wipe your cells and drop you from the leaderboard.

After you pay

  • Your listing is public. Clicks from the board and the leaderboard go to the URL you submitted.
  • A completed payment is what claims the cells. Payments are not refundable.
  • Cells you just bought can still be taken if someone pays the new 1.5× price. Paying means you agree to these rules and the Terms of Service.
